Clapper Jul 28, 2010 The Clapper works great. It makes my bedroom look like it has a strobe light hooked up when I am in bed with my wife.
Useful Product Jul 09, 2010 This is a very useful gift if you have any seniors in your life. A dark room can be like an obstacle course for them if they need to get up in the middle of the night for any reason. However, it is not practical to leave lights burning all night if you're on a fixed income. This product allows them to turn a light on and off with a clap of the hands. It is incredibly useful for them, and will be appreciated as part of a care package or gift.
One thing you need to know, though, if you're ordering this from H.T.F. Things, is that they do not respond to the Amazon function where you can ask a seller what's happening with your order. I don't know why this is, maybe the email attached to that part of their account is no longer active. If you want to order this for your friend or neighbor, save yourself some anxiety and have it shipped to yourself first, instead of directly to the giftee. That way, you can make sure the item has the price tag removed and you can order a confirmation of delivery from the Post Office when you send it on, for your own peace of mind.
sound activated light Jul 03, 2010 rather than clapping (which works just like commercials), I placed this in a dark hallway which has no access to a light switch. Anytime you're transiting you can make a little noise and the clapper will kick on your light. It's like having a power saving night light.
the clapper Jun 30, 2010 I bought "The Clapper" for a friend of mine. He is on oxygen 24/7 and it is such an effort for him to get up and turn on the lamp at night. Now he doesn't have to get up to turn it on, he just claps his hands and the light is on immediately.
He is very satisfied with the item.
Neat but impractical Apr 13, 2010 The clapper is a neat device, I bought one so that I could turn off a bedroom light from bed (out of laziness not necessity). The clapper had a hard time isolating my clap pattern in even low to moderate noise levels (like an open window or humidifier running). The unit also gets very confused if you don't follow the order of operations as you connect the appliances it will simply blink an error message and fail to work. Since it failed in the bedroom I have yet to find another application, I plan on giving it away.
