 Helped my 85 year old grandmother Jun 21, 2010
My grandmother's hearing aide went out and she had to send them off to be repaired. I got this for her so that we didnt have to yell at her so loud. She loves it and says it works great and we dont have to yell at her anymore which was exactly what I was hoping for.

We got this just to be able to carry on a normal conversation with my elderly mom. It works great for this! Other than that, just what do you expect for thirty bucks? I ordered a few more. Basically, this gizmo amplifies EVERYTHING in the room. My mother heard birds singing outside that she had not heard in years. Plus, when she's wearing this, we all don't have to yell to get her to hear her. It works better for basic conversations than the very expensive hearing aids that she always lost, and that no one could remember how to adjust.

Got this for my 87 year old dad. The batteries run low fast, so he takes it out when not using it. Good in a small room and speaker close by. The foam tip does fall off. Also, the earphones are bulky so we replaced with bud type.

It really is not the product I expected, absorbing all the sounds around you, and if you want to hear the tv for example you have to hear a fan or any other sound but the mic near the TV, I do not like for nothing, in fact I do not use

Misleading picture Feb 06, 2010
I bought this product on Amazon when I was looking for a ear-plug style sound amplifier. When I received it, it was a headset with the attachment of a bulky thing shown in the picture. Couldn't the seller show the headset in the picture because that is the main thing the buyer will be wearing? Be honest and let consumers make their own informed decision. Is that too much to ask for?
