Buy the "Cliphanger" instead Jul 13, 2010 The materials and design of this product are far inferior to the Cliphanger, which comes without the light Cliphanger stick and adhesive pad CLEAR or Cliphanger-Universal Caddy for Handheld Devices, Colors May Vary or with an LED, which is available at the Cliphanger site. Don't be fooled into thinking that these are identical. The "Deluxe" SmartClip's light is difficult to use and very dim. The adhesive is faulty. I dropped my phone 3 times the first day (and I still had the SmartClip in my hand). Avoid.
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! Mar 29, 2010 Sooooo handy!! No more searching for your phone, it's always in your sight. You can hang it on the clip for your auto and use your speaker phone HANDS FREE without being distracted. My spouse and I both HIGHLY recommend this device!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not Just For Cell Phones Dec 09, 2009 I know I'm behind the times, but I don't own a cell phone since I really have no use for one...
The reason I bought this product is because I am an insulin pump user... The bags and clips available for an insulin pump are not that great and are pretty cumbersome.. I went in search for an alternative, and thought that since this hooks up a phone to a belt, that it might work...
Well low and behold, this is a great product for insulin pumps.. It's light weight, and the light also helps illuminate the pump without having to use the pump's display light since the batterys don't last too long with the normal use of a pump..
I did not have any problem with the adhesive at all.. It stayed on for months, until I needed to replace it.. On top of this, you can find these round 3M adhesive "coins" pretty much everywhere, so it's not like you can't have extra on hand "just in case"...
Well they work for me and my needs, so it's all great for me...
On My Third One Sep 17, 2009 I would have rated this 2 1/2 stars if I could, just to be fair. It's a 5 as far as a great idea, and when it's brand new, it's great. Problem: Like everyone else, it doesn't stick forever. I have had to buy 3M double sided stickies when the original wore out. Yes, it does have a problem sticking with a cell phone protector however the 3M did work, until......the summer when it got warm then it gave out. So my next idea, which has been the godsend of this problem: I use the double sided velcro tabs. What that has done is when the clip gets caught, say on your purse or when you are frantically trying to get to it when your phone is ringing, it has a little give and doesn't keep pulling at the glue which like I say, gives out after awhile. Now for the reason I gave it a low score and why I am on my third. I bought my first one and loved it so much I bought two more to keep as gifts. I have had to use these 'gifts' for myself. The flaw in this thing is the clip, the first two fell on a hard surface (kitchen floor and driveway) and both of them broke in the same place! For this reason I would rate the product a '0' for that flaw alone. To be totally fair, I have a friend who has had hers for years with no problem and I gave one to my mother who has had hers for over a year and theirs are fine. I use my phone allllll the time so it's constantly being tested for durability and has failed me. Darn!
nice concept. didn't work Jul 14, 2009 I had to use my own glue to make it stick because the adhesive came right off. After two weeks of use the clip snapped in two.
