Bad Purchase Aug 28, 2010
The only reason this is getting one star is because when you can actually get it to lock it does work, however then you have to FIGHT to get it to unlock to clean. Blending takes about 60 sec. opening and closing close to 10 min. Very NOT user friendly. Would not purchase this product unless your a weight lifter. Going in the garbage.

When I received the first product the base was defective, I simply called customer service and they sent another unit out immediately. Turns out I was WRONG, I just wasn't pushing the button hard enough, I called to stop the order and was told to just keep one as a spare, I've never had to use the spare because this one is still going strong after maybe 2 yrs. I love this product, the bottles are dishwasher safe and it's a quick easy way to make a healthy breakfast when time isn't on your side. I like this product very much and would recommend it to anyone.

I have used this item for over a year and it is still going strong. I am buying more bottles because they wore out. I really like this product. Would like to see a bigger bottle for mixing fruit in with the protein.

The Shake & Take Sports Bottle Blender is the greatest thing ever invented as far as blender are concern,
it works great, its easy to clean and it makes great shakes. I highly recommended. GREAT FOR THE GYM..

Pros:
Works great!
Cleanup when not using sticky ingredients (like chocolate chips) is easy - I just fill with water and set it on the base and blend a few seconds. Don't even need to scrub most of the time.

Cons:
Straw in cap does not reach edge and therefore cannot dispense all of the liquid.

Notes: Construction is "adequate". For the price you can't really expect Cuisinart. I used the unit almost every day last summer and did not have the burnout problems some other reviewers had. However, I generally make simple shakes (milk, ice cream, chocolate sauce) so I may be going easy on the unit by not using ice or frozen fruits.

Suggestion: when not planning to "take", just cover the top with a plastic lid during blending instead of screwing on the straw lid. Makes making shakes even faster, and cleanup easier.
