Don't know what I'd do without this! Jul 05, 2010 Ever since the mid-nineties, I've lived in East County San Diego, and we have an ANT PROBLEM out here. They are these little tiny ants that are very fast and crawl over everything AND they BITE. Right now I'm ordering Riddex for about the fourth time.
The first one I ordered from QVC. WE had tried everything to get rid of these ants. Cleaning, exterminators, home remedies. We really did our homework, and the closest I could come was finding that they are Argentinian ants that nest in the walls. We seriously doubted that this product from QVC would actually work. It cost about $50 for one at that time, but within a little over a week...the ants were gone. They used to crawl over the dining room table and our food while we were eating, bite us while we slept, and believe me...everything was pristine clean.
Unfortunately...the device lost its power after about five or so years, and I hunted for one on the internet for a quite some time, and then "AT LAST!"...there it was. I ordered two for the price of one about eight years ago, and have had some problems with them (i.e. my microwave blew when I plugged one into the same socket). So...now I know not to do that. Also...some of them I've had have been less powerful or last a shorter period of time. But all in all...it's worth it to me to be insect free. I've never had a problem with roaches or mice (knock on wood), but the minute I see a few spiders...I know I should replace my Riddex.
I just ordered two because the red warning light has been blinking, and the ants are back. Hope they'll be gone soon, and some of the reviewers are correct. Two units work better than one. I'm sorry this device hasn't worked for many of you. It's been like a miracle for me for 15 years. I hope I continue to feel that way.
This Did Work For Me Jun 23, 2010 This product did work for me. I got my apartment chemically treated for roaches first. I then plugged the unit into my kitchen area, but I saw that roaches were in my bed and bathroom areas which I had not seen before. So I bought another unit and plugged into the bedroom area. Using two units has worked for me. I did see an increase of roaches in the beginning, but I think they were coming out of the walls and didn't know they were suppose to go outside the building. I still continue to clean and take the trash out daily. I hope this helps.

Mala Calidad Apr 08, 2010 Este producto se daña con facilidad si se coloca con un inversor de onda semi sinosoidal, y la mayoría de los inversores son con ese tipo de onda. No es tan efectivo como dicen los creadores. No lo recomiendo.
It does work!! Mar 28, 2010 I bought 4 of these products and I can tell you that they do work!!!! Plus, they repeal ants! I don't have an ant problem once i started using this product.
I am going to be buying 2 more. I think maybe if others are not having good results, maybe 1 unit per floor of the home is not enough. I have 3 on each level, spaced out through several rooms, and that seems to do the trick, considering all of the electronic appliances that are plugged into my home.

Who's tellin the truth? Mar 09, 2010 I wanted to buy this product after I saw its commercial on TV, then I read these reviews. It seemed that mostly are negative probably because it does not do what it says. Then who's writing the positive reviews? someone is lying. I tend to agree with the negative reviews cuz I've bought stuff from amazon.com base on positive reviews that turned up to be untrue.
Here is how I do it, if the percentage of the negative reviews are more than 5%, by the statistical probability, the product is not worth buying. (I consider 3 stars or less a negative review). in my opinion, positive reviews do not mean much, how would I know it is not written by the marketers themselves?
These negative reviews really helped me otherwise I would've been taken too. Thanks folks.
Also another way to do it is to look at the shipping charges, if it seem high relative to the value of the product itself, I wouldn't buy it cuz they make the money off of the inflated shipping charges even if you return it. All the decent products I have bought have had low and reasonable shipping charges.
