 Simple solution to an awful problem Nov 13, 2009

I have a wonderful Steelcase desk at home and another at work. These desks have only one major flaw; that being shortness. Well, OK, ugliness too; functionally ugly. I am 6'2" (187cm) and have to work at my desk a lot. Aside from being about 2" (5cm) too low the desk's middle drawer hits the top of my legs making it uncomfortable to work at the desks. The solution was to raise the desks to an ergonomically useful height. I tried blocks of wood; which work however, are troublesome to make and get right. Then I found "Raise Its". One box allows me to raise my desk a full 5cm (2"). The ones I got are clear, and as a result blend in with the flooring better.
I bought two sets of "Raise Its". One set for home on carpet and the other for work on something they call carpet but feels more like fleeced cardboard over concrete... which I suppose it is. Both help make it easier for me to be more comfortable working when I'd rather be playing outside. Is that a good thing?

I purchased these to use with my L shaped glass work station. I needed to add height as I am 6'6" tall. These are very well made. I can see them holding a lot of weight. They also come with a small disk that you can use if your floor happens to be wood or tile. I also am very pleased to see that these are made in the USA. Nebraska to be exact. I was curious so I checked out the company web site. They offer all kinds of rain gauges and other outdoor items. No I do not work for them. I just am one guy who says if I can find it made in the USA I am going to bookmark that company and buy from them again.

These are great! I now have extra storage under my bed for Christmas ornaments and wreaths etc.I love the look of my bed higher also.These blocks are very sturdy and clear so their not that noticable either.
Don't hesitate. Great product and wonderful quality!

These risers are made of good quality plastic, plus they give you the ability to raise the furniture to the desired height. I purchased these to raise some beds and unlike many risers that have no flexibility in height, these worked perfectly. I highly recommend.

Clear Risers - perfect! Nov 03, 2011

Bought these to raise a new bed to allow room for my under-bed storage containers. I liked the less bulky look of the clear ones but worried about their strength. No worries! The risers are strong, supporting a queen-size oak bed ,and large enough for the big posts of mission-style. I appreciate that the risers are also molded to accept different feet, should I decide to use them elsewhere. The bed doesn't skid or wobble. Love that they came in an 8 pack, allowing me to raise the bed 2 inches!
