 Works well if you take your time! May 06, 2010
I purchased this product today. After reading the reviews I fingered I'd give it a shot. I got it for $10 at home depot. I used it to caulk around a bathtub and it was my best caulk job yet. I went slow only running it down three 4" tiles at a time and then wiping it clean and continuing. I'm in the home improvement business and this will come in handy for all my caulking jobs. I gave it a four because the remover tool is useless I had to use a metal scrapper and a razor blade to remove the old silicone.

using your fingers works in alot of cases, this set works well when the finger can't get the job done, small areas and such, worth it if you do alot of chalking....

Haven't really had a chance to use this product yet but as usual the service and shipping were great from Amazon. Just don't try to track anything that is shipped USPS because they don't ever have any info of their site until after the shipment has been delivered and then you don't need to track it anyway. Too bad USPS isn't like UPS then it comes to tracking info.

The caulk is super cheap at Home Depot and the tools are made of plastic, so why is this kit so expensive? I like the plastic tools and am glad I have them, but never would have bought this kit if I wasn't trying to get free shipping on something else I was buying at the same time.
The idea that you will use less caulk with this kit because you waste less is untrue and not a good idea anyway. Caulk is super cheap (if you buy it at a regular store by itself) so trying to save a little by reusing what you scrape off isn't worth the trouble, and doesn't work very well anyway.

I'm always skeptical about any product pitched on t.v. like this one. I bought one at a local retail store. I'm possibly the world's worst caulker. With these tools, I was amazed how clean and neat my tub caulk looks now!
