I could describe perfectly for you how to use this product and it still might not work. There are so many X-factors in getting a good pull from it that you end up experimenting heavily with the thing, which I guess is what avoiding big body shop bills and spending around $20 gets you.
I had a fairly large ding in my car and started by using the large pad on the middle of the dent. I put a liberal amount of glue on it and waited the prescribed five minutes before affixing the bridge and the knob. It pulled the dent out, but it wouldn't release. I'd either used too much glue or let it set for too long.
I took the bridge off and peeled the pad loose with my fingers, then tried again with the same amount of glue but a shorter set time. This time, the pad came loose and pulled the dent, but left a large amount of glue behind.
Since the glue peeled off fairly easily, I proceeded to the other side of the dent, this time with the medium pad, the same amount of glue, and the shorter set time. This time, it pulled the dent but wouldn't come off. I removed the bridge and as I tried to pull the pad loose with my hand, the pad itself snapped in half and left plastic embedded in the glue. This time, the glue WASN'T easy to peel off.
I finally determined that I must be using too much glue, so I used the small pad on the next part of the dent, but put just a very thin but thorough layer of glue on it, letting it set for four minutes. This time, the pad came off the car easily, but the dent was pulled only partially out.
At that point, I gave up for the day and resigned myself to finishing the job another time. Right now, it looks a good deal better, dent-wise, but I'm having trouble getting all the glue off. I'll try applying some ice to it tomorrow to see if it will chip off more easily.
So, what I learned from all of this is that you pretty much have to keep the amount of glue very, very thin (it shouldn't ooze out from around the pad when you apply it) but you need to coat the entire bottom of the pad with glue (it SHOULD push up slightly through the four holes). It may take you several tries to get a dent out, but that method should work on a simple ding with one or two applications.
There's a real trial-and-error aspect to this product that could make it work differently tomorrow than it did today, depending on factors like temperature and humidity. I can see a body shop getting a whole lot of use out of something like this once they've got experience with it, but for the average car-owner, the frustration factor may outweigh the product's usefulness. First-time (or one-time) users will need a fair bit of luck to get exactly what they're looking for.

OK, I bought the pop a dent to have some dents removed from my mothers car. The instructions need to be revamped a little cause it takes a little more then what is said to get the dents out. Number one, do not use a lot of glue, only use enough to fill the holes. Number 2, wait the whole 5 minutes. Number 3 it is not recommend to use this if weather is cold (70 degree's or colder). and it is best to use in sun. If using in a garage or in colder temps then i recommend you heat the area with something immediately before placing the dent remover...not heat the area then wait 5 minutes or so for the area to get cold again then place the dent remover...i mean be ready to place the dent remover right away after heating the area....I used a hair blower to heat my car. Number 4...do not expect this thing to work after the first try. It takes several times to get it near perfect...never 100% but with a little patience you can get it to about 95%. Number 5, it is kinda trial and error on which dent remover thing to use, You get three of them. I find the middle sized one to work best. Number 6... Clean the area before using tool. clean at least 6 inches outside of the dent for good traction. Number 7...Use Alcohol to clean up the glue after each use..do not leave glue on with every try...clean with alcohol after every try. Number 8 some people complain that paint comes off...this item is not recommended for cars that do not have manufacture paint on it. If your car has been repainted then I would not recommend this product. Also would not recommend if your dent looks creased or a better word would be with many wrinkles...it is best for a solid dent like a crater.
Many claim this is not a good product. My opinion is that even using the product as described, you have to take a few things into consideration as noted above and you should have a better experience.
Only reason why i gave this a 3 is cause it is time consuming (took about 2 hours of time) and information was misleading and had me think it would work in one try and this is not true. Expect to use about 7 tries or so before you see results.

Tested out the product in a garage today...not only did the product (used correctly as per instructions) fail to correct even the smallest of dents, it actually added a couple of dents to the panel! Do not waste your time/money with this "miracle" product unless you want to give a real bodyman a gag birthday gift!

I purchased pops a dent on a Thurs it arrived on following Mon. Good start. My Honda Odyssey received 2 matching dents on the sliding doors when we took a road trip to chilly So Dakota and it was so cold we could not get our doors to open properly and then could not get them closed. My husband used his hip to close both doors and send us on our way. 1 1/2 years later I finally ordered pops a dent. I figured I had only a little to lose. I tried it out today it was 90-95 degrees and van was in the garage. The advice given about experience with a hot glue gun being useful is right on. I am stay at home Mom do-it-yourself and I am a quick draw. 1st It is very helpful to know that all glue guns drip glue when hot. So set it on a scratch piece of paper when not in use do not hold it over anything you do not want it to drip on, like your car.Stand on glue gun provided made and improvement to gun I already own. 2nd. set up glue gun as close to vehicle as possible. Use Ext cord if neccesary! Follow directions exactly. I found in this heat 5 min dry time better than 3. Keep Glue gun plugged in during entire use. Do not unplug until you have finished job. Both my dents are remarkable better if not 100% gone. I have only given each one try so with careful use may be able to improve even more. I think I spent about 2 hours including clean up which using alcohol worked with a bit of persistance and a bit of soft clean finger nail. Soaked clamps in it and picked off. rubbed off car nicely. Heating and melting off may work on clamps but dont try on your car.I may try to put them in freezer and see if frozen glue pops right off. Follow directions maybe a hot day is better? Know your glue gun! I am pleased as can be.! Also I am glad I did not read all the negative reviews before ordering probally would not have. I hope this helps. Maybe better instructions regarding the Glue gun would be helpful to customers.

If your IQ is above room temperature then you will be able to get this gadget to work for you. I *had* a small, fairly deep ding about the size of a quarter... Pops a dent removed it. It took at least 10 "pops", but it came out and you can NOT see where it was.
Couple notes: After ~5 pops re-wax the area to prevent the glue from getting stuck. You will notice that each time you pop the dent the glue sticks a little better and you get a better pull. This is a result of the wax coating getting removed. Well if you keep popping without re-waxing the glue will stick too good. If this happens use alcohol (i used denatured alcohol) to remove the stuck glue.
