You get what you pay for. Jan 01, 2011
By Alana Phelps I'm on a tight budget, and this was the cheapest plantar fasciitis splint I could find. I wish I had just saved my money. The splint is so elastic that doesn't really stretch your tendons that much, it just keeps them from being completely relaxed. I suppose that would still help, but the main problem is that it's so uncomfortable on your calf. You have to put the strap around your calf on pretty tight to keep it from sliding down your leg. The strap cuts into your leg, leaving deep marks. A couple of times when I slept with this splint on, I woke up after two or three hours and took it off because it was bothering me too much. A couple of times, I woke up in the morning to find the velcro straps had come undone around my calf or that my foot had slipped out of the foot band. I don't bother with wearing it anymore. I do, however, still use the arch brace that came with it when I'm walking around the house without shoes. It's comfortable and helpful.

Horrible product May 30, 2011
By mames I purchased this product in hopes of easing my foot pain due to plantar fasciitis, but that was not the case. This looks like it will stay on your calf, but the minute you move your foot, it slides down...defeating the purpose completely. It was a waste of money and I returned it. Amazon was great about doing the return. Save your time and money and don't purchase this splint.

Runner with plantar fascitis Mar 11, 2011
By Sydney A month into training for the Boston Marathon I developed plantar fasciitis in my left foot. I was unable to take time off running and in addition to other recommendations (NSAIDS, ice, orthotics, stretching), I bought this splint. I was a little weary of the more common sock splint used by runners (Straussberg) as I can't stand sleeping in socks. This splint helped. I used it for a two week period at night before changing to a hard splint (Futuro). The reason I changed to a hard splint was that the calf strap was bothersome and woke me at nights. I did have an improvement in morning symptoms with this splint. I transitioned to wearing it during the day under pants as I frequently developed recurrence of pain after sitting or rest. After two weeks of 24 hour splint use, my pain is greatly improved and I was able to run a 19 miler Saturday. I am no longer wearing this splint during the day, but would recommend it.

falls short Apr 22, 2011
By PB literally falls short. Unless you have the calf of a 10 year old girl, this splint isn't any where close enough to fit around the calf of your leg! Its a great concept but falls short in being able to use it to its capacity because it is not large enough to fit around!

Plantar Fasciitis Splint Dec 06, 2011
By DebbieT I gave this a 4 star not because there is anything wrong with this splint but rather because all the stuff for plantar fasciitis is uncomfortable. I put this splint on over my Pjs to avoid it from slipping or digging into my leg, which works perfectly. That said the product does help keep the foot stretched at night so the first steps are not as painful. I work all day and mid way through the day my feet start to hurt tremendously; however, slowly since starting to use this product the pain is taking longer to set in and is getting better. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a cheaper solution to test out. The shipping and everything was fast and I would recommend this product but do not expect the pain to go away the first night.
