I just tried these today, got a walgreens, $10. It makes my jeans very comfortable to wear, and was easy to apply. The only drawback, it is very hard to remove the item. I had to use pliers. They say that you should not put this item in the washing machine with your slacks.

Definitely false advertising. You do not receive the item shown for this product. Very disappointed when I
opened package today. You think you are ordering Perfect Fit Button Deluxe (Set of 8), but you receive
Smart Fit Button instead. The item you get is cheap plastic. What a rip-off. Improving Lifestyles Inc. just
lost my business. Others beware do not buy from Improving Lifestyles Inc.

I ordered these from the product web site (not Amazon) as a "quick fix" for pants that lose a button. I would not recommend ordering from the site. You are forced to go through several screens that ask you to add additional items to your order before you can complete your order.
I was very excited when my buttons arrived, but found it very difficult to open them. I finally realized that if I rotated the back, it would slide off easily.
The buttons I receved are made from the same cheap metal as "Made in China" costume jewelry. The web site had an option to order a better quality metal.

I thought this was just the item I longed to find. Often my jeans are too loose around my middle. I hesitate to use the word "waist" since low riders are still all the rage. Anyway, my past attempts to add a second button to take up the slack in my jeans always failed. Ordinary buttons would pull holes in the fabric or break. Metal buttons had a sharp edge on the shank which eventually would cut through the thread. So these "perfect fit buttons" seemed to be the perfect solution...until I tried them. The idea is great. But the problem is in the design. First, I could get the fastener off the back of only two out of eight of the buttons. Second, the fastener on the button protrudes for more than a quarter of an inch and dug into my skin. Ouch! Typical jeans' buttons have a flat fastener on the back that is quite comfortable. If this item can be redesigned to overcome these two flaws, I will be a huge fan.

The pin system doesn't work. With minimal force the pin can easily be removed without opening the lock mechanism. Even when I place the button in a place where there is no pressure on it at all, it still comes undone.
TRASH! Theres a reason they have to market it on TV. If they sold it in stores, every one would be returned. At seven dollars, its not even worth my time to return them to amazon. These are going right to the garbage bin.
