I have used other reachers. This one is definitely superior. I bought two for myself and two for my mother. If I could afford it, I would buy one for every vertically challenged person in the world. It does everything it says it will do, including picking up heavier objects. My husband picked up a dime that was lying flat on the floor. I have one in my office and one folded up in the car. It's terrific.

This is really a handy little tool, and I loved not having to assemble anything. It's not overly long, but it is perfect for me, and easy to use.
What really impressed me is that this arrived 2 days after I ordered it, and I used the "free shipping" option. It came priority mail! That was nice service, and appreciated since I needed this after a recent accident. It's already making life a bit easier while I recover.
I also like that it folds up, and the little locking mechanism. It's just really simple, really logical, and a very handy little helper.

I was devasted when my Original Gopher "bite-the-dust" and was looking for a replacement. When I saw this item, I was doing the "Happy-Dance". I ordered two and received them much earlier than promised. When I saw the improvements, I had to say I was over-joyed. The folding hinge now locks in place and the LED light helped me find things in dim and dark places. The whole unit seems sturdier and the gripper handle seems to require less pressure. This manufacturer is on the ball with it's R&D. Good quality at a very reasonable price.

I hurt my back and was having a hard time bending over to pick up toys on the floor, so this product has been a big help. At the end of the day I just walk around and pick things up with a laundry basket.

Bought this based on reviews, write up and the ability to fold in half for easier storage. First time I folded it - it would not lock back into place. A forever bent gopher III. Now I duct tape the middle so it is always open. The gopher III works fine now. Maybe they should make this improvised model the Deluxe Gopher IV - duct tape included.
