Not as wonderful... Feb 02, 2010 The water globes are not as I expected. The "tube" gets clogged with dirt and no water gets out to the plant... I bought 3 sets, I have only used 2 sets
very happy Jan 21, 2010 I got a two bulb pack of Aqua Globes that work really good. I refill every four days ,wish they were a little bigger. They seem to be made well.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Jan 08, 2010 Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT make the same mistake that I did in buying this product. I have a lot of plants so I've spent over $100 on this nonsense. It is an absolute waste of time and money!
Oh, they look so pretty when initially you put them in... then the time comes to refill the bulbs. Then you realize that half of them are still filled with water because the dirt got into the narrow openings. So you carefully make sure that the bulbs have their holes made for them to avoid this happening in the future and hope for the best. Then you realize that the plants are hungrier than you thought.
WITHOUT the bulbs, you need to feed/water your plants every 2-3 days. Guess what? WITH the bulbs, you still need to water your plants every 2-3 days! Only now, except just watering your plants, you will be spending 5 times more time in filing up the blasted bulbs in addition to watering your plants. So, a 10 minute job becomes 2-person 45 minute job. And for what? The bulbs BREAK at the slightest provocation, they have a hard time standing up until you prop them, the openings get stuffed with dirt and become impenetrable by any means other than a letter opener... It's a mess!
In other words, AVOID LIKE PLAGUE and save your money!
Very fragile! Dec 31, 2009 I bought a couple boxes of these as Christmas gifts. One globe was slightly broken on arrival and another broke after I had given it (it basically broke when the gift was unwrapped, which made me feel awful). It was only tapped slightly against another hard object and the stem shattered. I've come to the conclusion that these Aqua Globes are extremely fragile. I actually didn't give the second box of globes as a gift after seeing what happened to the first, because I think they would have been much too fragile for my elderly aunt to have handled and used. I don't know how well they work if you can finally get them filled and in a flower pot, but I really would think twice about buying them again. They are beautiful, but too fragile to be very useful, I think.
(Not as important, but they also come in really cheesy "As Seen On TV" packaging. I actually removed them from the original box to give as gifts, because the box seemed so tacky and the globes themselves are actually very artistic and attractive.)
Works pretty well Dec 22, 2009 I love how pretty these bulbs are, but they are also quite useful. I have four of them, two for indoor plants and two for outdoor plants that are in an awkward, hard to water spot in my garden. They seem to keep the plants adequately watered, sometimes for up to two weeks depending on weather conditions. My one complaint is that it is really hard for me to trickle water in to fill them up. If the hose is on too heavy water just splashes and doesn't fill the bulb. I've also tried dunking them in a bucket of water to fill, but this is slow to fill also, I think just due to the narrow aperture of the stem. Overall I'm very happy with these and intend to get more.
