do not buy it Apr 25, 2010 it lacks padding and hurts the palm of your hands. i am returning mine. and spending a few more dollars on perfect push ups. The only way i was able to use it with less pain is by wearing my weight lifting gloves
push up pro review Apr 14, 2010 The product arrived on time and after a week of use, it performs as expected.

Chose this over Perfect Push Ups Mar 13, 2010 I am a United States Navy Seabee so keeping myself physically ready is a must. I bought perfect Pushup 2 years ago in the navy to get a better pushup workout. I bought this just recently because one of my perfect pushup started acting up and started to get rough rotations. I was looking to see if i can get a "cheaper" and maybe even better alternative to perfect pushups.
These guys are a perfect solution. I actually like these much better than perfect pushup but that may be because I have smaller than average male hands. The rotations are far smoother than perfect pushup... this may be good or bad according to your few. Perfect pushup seems to have some resistance. This set just glides with no effort which ended up making my pushups even better because I could focus on my workout rather than the rotation.
I was worried about the quality due to price but after punching out a couple, my doubts were gone. Yes perfect pushup is superior in quality but I find these to have better targeted results. The handles are actually rubber grip and yes they did hurt the palm of my hands the first time i used it. But like every other workout you do, your body (hands) get used to that real quick.
I recommend this for anyone looking to workout your upperbody or wanting a workout in between workouts. I can't always go to the gym so I use these guys to keep my workout momentum going.
Chest Swell Mar 03, 2010 These work great. It takes a bit to get your hands use to the feel, but after that they are great!

Don't listen to the pessimists Jan 31, 2010 I got the Push up Pro as a gift a while back, and it's been working great for me. I'm keeping myself reasonably in shape when I can't go to the gym, and it's highly convenient, being of a light weight and small size. At first, when i got it out of the box, it looked pretty cheap and felt flimsy, but i didn't let this influence my opinion (as i suspect some people have). I can tell you this: you don't need to waste money on the supposedly superior "Perfect Push up".
First, I've seen a lot of people with a common complaint: the Push up Pro isn't comfortable. Personally, I don't have any problems with it, but maybe that's because I only weigh 155 lbs. I can see that it might be an issue for heavier users with broader palms, but this problem can be easily solved with a few small rags or paper towels for padding. In my opinion, using a couple of towels to solve a minor problem is much more economical than immediately giving up and needlessly buying something more expensive.
And, as with all things in life, you'll get used to it with practice.
Second, a lot of people are complaining about an alleged "rough" or "unsteady" turning action. I don't think of it as a problem at all - instead, I see it as comparable to balancing the bar while bench pressing. At the beginning, it will take some time to get down a smooth action, but as you practice and get stronger, you should be able to master rotating the pads smoothly. I prefer to think of it as a feature of the Push up Pro. In any case, it definitely helped me get stronger.
To sum it all up, the Push up Pro is a great, convenient way to get or stay in shape (if you want to do something more fancy than regular pushups. There isn't a big difference between regular pushups and these. If you're fine with regular pushups and don't have wrist problems, then this Push up Pro isn't necessary). It's more difficult than regular push ups, encouraging you to build your strength by making you go lower while practicing a smooth turn of the handles. If you want a simple way to get fit, these will work. If you've got money to burn and want to go easy on yourself, go ahead and get the Perfect Push up.
