Pieces of junk sold as quality! Jul 22, 2009
By Peter A. Boylan I purchased 2 pairs of Deluxe? HD readers on April 10, 2009 from HD Vision Readers, Pacoima, Ca 91331 for a total of $33.97. The box contained a certificate stating a 2 year limited warranty. I am very careful with eyeglasses and treated both pairs with gentle handling. The frames on both pair broke in the last few days when I was removing them from my face. They were made of flimsy, thin plastic and were a complete rip-off. I called their customer service department today and was told in a rude manner that they were not under warranty and the 2year coverage was not purchased separately by me at the time of sale. The standard warranty is for 60 days and they will not help me in any way. I told the representative I would never buy glasses with a 60 day warranty and he repeated rude and stupid answers like he was programmed by the company to ignore customers complaints. He said the 2 year warranty was only for the Deluxe model and my receipt is for the deluxe model. I would advise anyone considering these glasses to save money and frustration by buying another brand.

There are positive things to say about these reader sunglasses Jul 25, 2010
By B. Norton After seeing the reviews posted here I had to make my own comment.
I personally find myself using these as my primary sunglasses most of the time.
One of the complaints I saw that inspired this review was a comment that the reading lens is too small. I disagree. The reader lens is the perfect size for sports like golf, where you don't want to be distracted with the bi-focal blurring your focus during your swing. Or anytime when you primarily want to use them as sunglasses but don't want to keep pulling out readers for a score card or whatever. They also make great driving glasses for the same basic reason. The bi-focal does not get in the way of your primary vision. If all you are looking for is readers that are just sunglass readers, those are available, I have a pair myself.
One comment I read was that they did not fit someone's head. Yes I am a male and they fit me fine. Maybe they won't fit everyone's head, but I have yet to find any glasses that are made to fit everyone.
Another positive for these glasses is that I find the color of the lens to be a great all round tint. They are not so dark as to blind you going into a tunnel, but dark enough to use in the bright sunshine.
These glasses are certainly not for everyone. They are not the most stylish or highest quality sunglasses on the market. Are they HD? Well I would probably not describe them as such. However I continue to try out other models and brands of reader sunglasses hoping to find something comparable or better that is more stylish, better built, in a comparable price range. Unfortunately I have yet to find them. You have to decide how much you are willing to spend. Personally I am not prepared to spend a fortune on a seasonal use item. Consider what these excel at and you may find them to be a great value.

SIZE PROBLEM Jun 28, 2009
By D. H. Lehew The glasses were sized for a large head, probably a male head. They kept sliding down my nose and to use the readers I had to push them back up. Also the 'reader' area is too small. Would return but would cost too much to do so.

these glasses take a little getting used to you have to move the glasses around on your nose to get the right focus on the reading glass portion. the hd sun glass portion does not do till well on direct texas sunlight they are to light and doesn't block out enough light to be able to look directly into the sunlight
