handy item Oct 30, 2009
By H. Bickers Until a friend gave me one of these I always thought an electric fly swatter was silly. No more! You don't have to wait for an insect to settle, you can zap it in the air. More target opportunity and less bug guts on the walls! This kill maneuverability is especially nice with large scary hornets, where a whiff with an ordinary swatter could lead to bitter retaliation. Just a touch of the hot grid and they're immobilized. It's also very nice with swarms of mosquitos or those horrible pantry moths, a sweep & zap and you're alone in the room once more. Since it is only charged when the button is pressed the batteries last a long time. I highly recommend this product.

Never worked Sep 01, 2011

This item didn't work from the time I took it out of the box. Multiple people tried to insert the batteries multiple times. The batteries could not go in straight, so the connection can not be made. It is a very simple design, not much room for error - but somehow I must have received a defective item. It is going in the garbage and I am out $8.98. My brother purchased one from the dollar store that worked great!

good stuff Aug 17, 2011
By gintok I really like these zappers. Took them to Canada where there are a lot of bugs and they work really well.
YES!!!!! Apr 26, 2012
By rjm Dont buy one of these.... GET TWO!!! they are great, drops bugs right out of the air. my one and only (slight) complaint is they stay charged after you let go of the button, but just dont stick your fingers in there.
Makes killing fly's fun! Nov 26, 2011
By C. Powers Bought this because our area started getting a lot of fly's one year. Made it fun getting them, but doesn't always work. Sometimes you zap the fly in the air and it falls down and then fly's away again. It sounds like the little poppers kids throw on the ground when you get the fly. Sometimes the fly gets trapped and it burns it causing an unpleasant odor. Battery cover did fall off and won't stay on even though it is not broken. For 6 bucks, I would recommend, just don't expect your fly problem to be solved.
Pros- No guts on walls, works good with fruit flys, entertaining
Cons- Doesn't always kill fly, battery cover doesn't stay on
