I bought these for my father after visiting him and seeing the HORRIBLE state of his heels. He had deep cracks in the skin and the cream his doctor had recommended was not working.
As a note to you users suffering from cracked heels, I want you to know that eliminating cracked heels in a several-step process.
Use a pumice stone during or after showering to remove dead skin, then apply a foot repair cream. I got my father FootSmart NightTime Heel Treatment Cream, 8 oz. which he put on his heels and then wore heel socks over it at night.
If you are on your feet a lot during the day, you should invest in this product so that you can maintain the great state your heels are in after a full night of repair.
Overall, since using these two products my father's heels are looking much better and like real, healthy human feet again. Worth the investment.

Having been diagnosed w MS 12 years ago and confined to a wheelchair I KNOW MY SOCKS. I wear a size 8 ladies shoe but have some edema in 1 foot so I ordered the MENS 10-13... these socks are THIN & TIGHT with a 1 string restrictive top that acts like a tourniquet on your calf. They have NO cushioning in the soles and the "gel" heel is a thin coating of something that you can barely feel. But the BIGGEST JOKE of all is that you are supposed to HAND WASH & HANG DRY these socks (SPARE ME)! On a final note, IF you decide to order them after reading this review PLEASE BE AWARE you pay shipping to get them AND when you want to RETURN them you have to pay shipping AGAIN (I called customer service to request a PICKUP slip and was told they don't issue pickup slips, I should call UPS and see if they will foot the bill - where did I leave that turnip truck?)
