Actually pretty nice Jan 06, 2010
By Eric Stott I bought one of these ($9.99 at a CVS) and without the planting the thing is much nicer than you'd expect- the terra cotta is not badly sculpted and the planting grooves in the hair are not unlike the contours of the actual statue. The crown is a rubbery piece you slide on and the arm is plastic- a little small in scale but decently detailed. The torch light is kitschy but cute. I've planted mine but afterwards I'll probably clean it up and just keep it on my bookshelf as is.
