I was excited to use this product when I got it. The recipies worked well and were tasty. I would use the recipes again with another press or when making burgers by hand. I saved the recipe guide. The problem was that I also experienced a silver residue on the burgers after a few uses that made me concerned. I have also thrown it out because of concerns over this unknown residue that definately did not seem like anything healthy.

good burgers and egg sandwiches Oct 18, 2009
By Jin Jing So the first time I ever used it, it made delicious and juicy burgers. They were wonderful. Then I made egg sandwiches, i was also very pleased. I made burgers again, and the pan was doing fine, and the burgers were still yummy. But cleanup is NOT a breeze. The material the product is made out of stinks! You have to wipe for a while. I have heard complaints about the silver paint coming off, I haven't experienced this yet, but I'm looking out for it.

Worst appliance EVER Mar 02, 2010
By Lindsay Dunn We registered for this item for our wedding and received it as a shower gift. It is a TERRIBLE machine. The first time we used it it worked fine and made good mini burgers with no problem - but the cleanup was horrendous. I'm not sure what the deal with it is, but it is awful to try to clean the top press. The next 2-3 times we used it to make sliders, our entire burger/chicken/turkey patty was covered on the top in some sort of metallic sheen. I am not sure if it is just the paint coming off on it or what but it is AWFUL. I do NOT recommend this product and am concerned about health issues for anyone who ingests the silver residue. This product should be recalled in my opinion.

Works Poorly May 16, 2010

You're better offshaping sliders by hand & cooking them in a frying pan.
This device does not cook the sliders on top very well & it's difficult to remove the sliders without wrecking them. On top of that, it's difficult to clean.
