 **refurbished** or not the true brand Nov 27, 2011

After owning a swivel sweeper g2 for over a year and it holding up to my busy, large family (6 children ages 2-12, and 2 adults), on our hardwood and tile floors, I was forced to purchase another one (the two pack was a bonus, I THOUGHT), after my two year old played with it his final time. It wasnt even the mechanism that gave it up, the outside housing broke after he slammed it under the fridge. My order did arrive quickly, which is the only good thing about the seller of this so called deal. The first swivel was taken out of the box, fully charged the 8 hours it called for, and put to work. I immediateley noticed it wasnt near as powerful as my original sweeper, but used it anyway for about two weeks. Due to hair, dust, trash getting caught in the brushes, we learned a good cleaning and maintenance was necessary to upkeep this time saver I had initially invested in. Cleaning the bristles was only part of our maintenance, taking it slightly apart and getting every small piece of debris out of the cracks of it kept it in new running condition. However, upon cleaning this one from this seller, it was apparent it was refurbished. One screw, from under the housing was missing, and the other 3 didnt even match. Aside from it not working near as powerful as my first one, I opened the second from this seller to find identical complaints. It isnt as powerful either, the screws are all in tact; but, the battery will not hold a charge for more than 5-7 minutes. I have attempted to contact the seller, request return approval, sent two emails, within 3 weeks of owning their products. It has been two weeks since my first attept, and five days since my last. Today, I plan on contacting Amazon, and then proceed to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General.

This was the best buy I have ever made. I sent the second one to my sister and she just raves about it. I love the light weight, the ease of using it, especially for underneath furniture. It makes my life so much easier. Everyone should have one. I have a friend who has one for the basement and one upstairs. Absolutely the best. djb

I LOVE this! After getting myself one and liking it so much I bought 4 more for Christmas presents for my children. I have had no problems with it. I only hope it holds up well, as I certainly immediately became dependent on it. :-) Wonder if the brushes will ultimately wear down and if they can be replaced?

These were gifts for my children. So far the only thing I have heard from my son about it is the dirt compartment is a little small and has to be emptied frquently. The product seems to work as expected so far. The second one has not been taken from the box so far so I have no information from my daughter to include.

I have found the swivel sweeper to be the best quick cleaning product on the market. Not only does it make a quick job of sweep[ng up crumbs from the grandkids cookies but, it also effeciently picks up all the unknown bits from my cats abnormally large paws that he deposits on the hardwood floors. I found the handle difficult to release for under the furniture at first. The handle is very flexable and causes some concern about its breakage potential. All in all I would recommend this product.
