Don't buy this item Apr 28, 2011
By gerald h elkan I received two of the "amazing pocket chairs" due to a promotion (Buy one get another free). Neither chair works. The safety locks don't reach because the straps are too tight. Apparently, the safety locks are installed wrong, if the instruction sheet picture is correct. I cannot use either chair. The idea is good and the company lists Patent pending. It will be pending for a long time!

"Amazing" that they sell this Apr 25, 2011
By flagday1960 I'd go with the "Camouflage Folding Camp Stool" by Rothco. This thing is of poorer quality than the Rothco (less than advertised, certainly). The Rothco has 11 reviews of 4.5 stars. I'll skip the "As Seen on TV" label this time.

save your money Jun 11, 2011
By Sonny R. I got 2 because of the promotion on their website. Only one works because on one of them, one of the connectors is off by only a few millimeters--shoddy "Made in China" welding.
The chair itself, although small, is heavy and difficult to deploy. Definitely not for the elderly or little children.
You're better off going to an asian market & buying a cheapie portable plastic folding stool. Boo!

Terrible - save your money! Sep 05, 2011

I'm very outdoorsy but can't stand up for too long because of a back injury, so I was very excited to see these on TV. They look really great! But they're not. The real thing is so poorly designed as to be worthless. I'm not a big woman, most people would call me slender to average, but the seat on this thing is not wide enough to sit on without the metal bars cutting into my thighs, very painfully. You definitely wouldn't want to sit on it for more than maybe 2 minutes. It's also very very hard to set up. The little stud that fits into the metal bar is pretty far away and it takes quite a few very vigorous attempts to get it engaged. I'm a farm girl, so my hands & arms are strong, but I think many women would not be able to do it. I assume the nylon straps will loosen over time and fix this problem but the seat is so uncomfortable that it's not worth putting the time in to stretch them. It's also at an awkward height when set up. I'm perfectly comfortable squatting on a rock or log or hunkering down, but this (for me) is either too low or too high to be comfortable - it hurts my back. I've never had that problem sitting on a log. I think part of the problem is balance, because this chair is rather wobbly so you have to use your back and stomach muscles to keep it from falling over. It also does not fit in a pocket (for pocket sized it's huge - 10" x 7" x 1") and it's heavy (the weight would likely rip a pocket). I have a fold up tri-legged stool that is much lighter weight, easier to set up, and is comfortable to sit on. The only reason I wanted to try this is because I thought it would fit in my pocket. Anyway, save your money. I was very disappointed. The little tri-stool I like is similar to this one: Black Collapsible Stool
