easy money saver! Nov 28, 2011
By penny pincher Our dusk to dawn light went out so our cuorsity got the best of us. We watched as our light bill plunged when we were not using the old light! We had purchased a new dusk to dawn but didn't like our bill so we search for an LED dusk to dawn and found this one. With the purchase of the LED of only $5 more than the box store light it was a no brainer. We like how bright it is for so few LED and we love our bill, it is a LOT less. We are saving roughly $30 a month!

By MikeinTX We ordered two of these units in August of 2011. They were part of a security lighting package we wanted installed at our home. Previous experience with Lights of America Dusk to Dawn Dual Head LED security light which we had mounted in the covered patio was positive so we ordered these two single head and two dual head units; one for each out side corner of the house. They all provide very good light. However, they are intended for wall mount, not ceiling mount, so getting them on a ceiling or under an eave can be challenging. Fortunately we have a very inventive electrician. Also the mounting hardware leaves something to be desired. It is of very cheap quality and we had to substitute better mounting hardware. As of February 18 one of these single head lamps quit working altogether. Our electrician checked the photo cell and the voltage and found the unit to be defective. I sent the unit to Lights of America along with my receipt and a description of the problem and my return address and contact information. Hopefully they will honor their warranty ( 2 years) on the lamp. Will update this and give a better rating if they do so.
Another quirk is that the photo cells are not very sensitive and do not shut off until there is a lot of light.
3/6/12 Replacement lamp received via Fedex 9 days after the defective unit was received at their facility. Upping them to 4 stars.
