2put your robe on backwards  Jan 03, 2009 By Jennifer
I bought a Snuggie from Bed Bath and Beyond for $10 and no shipping because I went to the store. So that right there saved me $15. I don't find the blanket very soft at all and it is thin. Basically it's a cheap large robe with no tie in the middle that you wear backwards. Now I feel silly buying it.
Don't buy it for the book light either. I am a night time reader and this book light only highlights a small paragraph on a very small novel. It doesn't adjust at all which I thought was weird.

1Snuggie Is A Waste of Money!  Jan 13, 2009 By Jim
Jay Leno recently joked about the Snuggie in his monogogue. He ridiculed just about every feature of it. I had already ordered the two-for-one special (plus double shipping & handling) on the company's wesbite, thinking it would be an ideal gift for my wife's birthday. The website is very confusing and less than honest about what you are ordering. You are presented with several options (like a heavier fabric and faster shipping). It took almost a month to arrive, so my wife's birthday was history by then. The fabric is very thin and about as warm as a bedsheet. There is no way to close the back of the thing, so my wife has to pull a blanket up over her shoulders. The reading light that is the "free bonus" isn't useable since it only illuminates a small spot on the page. So, like one of the other reviewers...and Jay Leno....said, just put your bathrobe on backwards!

1Awful, awful, awful - Don't bother!!  Jan 08, 2009 By S. Dickmyer
Don't waste your money. This company is a joke. They were and have been backordered for quite some time, but they just kept advertising on TV all through the holiday season.

I agree with another reviewer that it's too easy to make a mistake when ordering on the company webite. I thought I was doing a mock order to see the final price before actually placing the order, but no. It placed the order immediately, and I couldn't cancel it because you have to input your credit card info first. (Also, that second one for "free" isn't - they charge you additional s/h, so instead of $20, you actually pay $20 + $8 + $8, for a total of $36. Each one is then more like $16 instead of the $10 you think you're going to pay.) After "ordering," I received an email with an order number, but later found that I couldn't check on the order status with that order number. I had to use my email address. I placed that order on Dec 1st, and 5 weeks later I still have not received the order. I have called 3 different numbers for the company, which by the way are hard to find on their website. All three numbers are answered by recordings and do not allow you to leave a message. I have found no way to cancel the order, though I've tried everything I can think of. Oh yeah, two of the phone numbers are CELL PHONES. I got Verizon recorded messages telling me that the phone lines were unavailable on several occasions. As far as I can tell, there is NO WAY to reach a live person for customer service.

Save yourself the aggravation. Don't buy this item from this company. Go to Bed Bath & Beyond or another local retailer and buy one like it there. Or buy a large fleece throw blanket, get some snaps from a sewing shop, and make your own. That's what I wound up doing! It was super easy, and way less than the online order.

4Call me crazy but...  Jan 12, 2009 By Cramertivity
..i like it. I got two of the extra heavy ones from the web site. Our movie room is pretty chilly in the winter and these keep us plenty warm. They're also long to keep our feet covered (my wife is 6 ft tall - most robes don't cover your feet when you're sitting down). I really like the sleeves when we have snacks or want to adjust the remote control. We ordered the burgundy color, which looks good against our green couch. I machined-washed one of them after a food spill and it came out fine, Why only 4 stars? The web site was very confusing. Don't order the optional book light, it has too narrow a beam to be useful for most reading.

5I am the Wizard of Coziness  Nov 22, 2009 By John R. Mcelroy
OK, let's get the facts straight first: the Snuggie is a thin, fleece blanket that has sleeves. If you don't like thin fleece, you won't like it. If you would rather economize by putting your bath robe on backwards, you won't like it (and you should throw away your blankets and just drape your bath robe over your legs as well). If you empower Jay Leno to decide what you wear when you are relaxing around the house, you won't like it either. Purportedly, if you attempt to purchase it on their website the experience will leave you both mystified and angry.

With all of that said, I bought mine at a local retailer and I totally dig it. It fits me well, keeps me warm, and the giant, drooping sleeves cover my arms while I hold a book, a cup of tea, or a snack. With the Snuggie I am a 9th Level Wizard of Coziness and I cast "Deal With It" upon anyone who doesn't approve.
