5Charming addition to my ridiculous new obsession.  Oct 16, 2010 By B. Corbett "Ucci"
My four-year-old niece loved these! Oh, who am I kidding? -I- love these. I believe that becoming rampantly enamored with Beanie Babies at a very impressionable young age was my first taste of collecting-things-that-are-cute-but-serve-no-real-purpose-and-end-up-in-large-bins-in-the-basement crack, ultimately becoming a slightly embarrassing addiction. In a nutshell: I know Silly Bandz and all things shaped rubber bands related are, you know, silly. BUT I JUST CAN'T STOP!!!

I first saw Stretchy Shapes at a sketchy mall kiosk and was immediately delighted by their bright, interesting colors and clever shapes (the first pack I bought were the wild west ones... The cacti are just a-DOR-a-ble!!).

The happy birthday pack is pretty wonderful, in terms of see-through rubber bands and glitter. I've got pretty tiny wrists so, pending my level of pre-adolescent sass that day, they fit quite nicely. I get pretty annoyed with the ones that are too loose or too tight. No, these ones (especially the cupcake, I've found) don't dangle awkwardly from my wrists or cut off circulation to my fingers.

The shapes are great too. They're surprisingly detailed and you don't have to guess at what they're pretending to be.

I've found that Stretchy Shapes feel more durable than other brands of shaped rubber bands. They seem to be a higher quality than most. Not that I've tried bungee jumping with them or anything, but they don't have that weird rigidity to them that some brands do.

I never thought I would write a review for these silly little things but I know I'm not the only one out there suffering from addiction and I figure, if you're gonna cave, you may as well go for the good stuff. I've seen these retail for $6 and I got them for just over $2 on Amazon... The end justifies the means, right?!

4Great!  Oct 19, 2010 By MIDNIGHT HUNT "vamps :3"
Really nice shapes, better than I expected! Don't get the fresh food stretchy shapes, get the happy birthday one instead. Unless your a guy.... then stay away :D, because these are pretty girly :P
