5Amazing for the price  Jan 24, 2010 By Desert Rat
i agree with Jerry, this is an excellent hearing aid. I went to an audiologist and ended up with aids that cost a fortune, and did not help all that much, so took them back.

Then I recently got an IntelliEar and it works just as well, and better still, I can adjust the volume.

It is a little heavy and tended to slip a bit, but then I put on the largest of the earplugs, and that helps a lot. It is a bit ugly to wear all the time, but it picks up a lot of the sound I was missing in my right ear.

Two warnings: 1. On the back of the user guide, but nowhere on the website, does it warn it is not suitable for people with pacemakers. As mine is on the left side, and I wear the device on the right, I don't think it will be a problem.

2. Adjusting the volume, I began to get a hiss about half way, so then turned it down a hair and it works fine. However, whenever I get close to my computer, monitor, wireless phone or other powered devices, I get a strong hiss.

For the price, you can't beat this interesting hearing aid.

1Great for the first 15 minutes...Then it Died!  Feb 11, 2010 By Zazzy "gadget_guy_from_joisey"
Serves me right...I praised the device right out of the box..During the first trial 15 minutes, it worked great. Then, following the instructions, I charged it up for 12 hours. That was it. Could never get it to turn on after that..IntelliEar died..nada..nothing..I read similar stories so something is definately defective with these things and ASIS (the company that makes them) should pay attention. Should have known it was junk just by the name of the company 'ASIS'..Also, fyi..the manufacturer doesn't offer a warranty. The instruction book tells you not to send it back to them. They want you send it back to where ever it was purchased. What does that tell you about their confidence in their own product? I'll try another product and hope for better luck!

4Inteliear for older  May 27, 2010 By James M. Knowlton
I have a waterfall in the back yard, at 67 years of age, and 23 years in the military, i have lost my hearing. Now i can enjoy the sounds of the falling water, plus we have bird houses, now the families living in the bird houses, are having babies, it is great to listen to the birds calling for food and just the pleasure of hearing the water fall.

1THINK TWICE  Apr 03, 2010 By Treeland
I bought this and charged it for approx 14 hrs. I then tried to turn it on and nothing happened. No light came on just nothing happened. Amazon is great and I was issued a refund but now not confident in trying another one. I cannot recommend it.
