Does what it's supposed to do! Feb 27, 2010
By Jack's Mommy It's too bad this little gadget has so many bad reviews. I've had a great experience with it! It does exactly what I expected it to do - hold my toothpaste tube, dispense an appropriate amount of paste, and allow me to clear up the sink counter clutter. It looks great, works great, and delivers fine.
I had never seen the infomercial - finding it on Amazon while searching for dispensers is what made me want it. I did not buy this for children to use (my oldest is only 21 months), and I would estimate a child under 7-8 would misuse it and end up with it dripping all over the lever (which may annoy parents who bought into infomercial hype?). We installed it in our master bathroom, above the sink, alongside our 3 chamber "Classic Dispenser" (also found on amazon). These wall dispensers have cleared up an amazing amount of bottle clutter in there!
As for the touch & brush - it comes in 2 parts...the suction cup piece where the tube goes, and the tall slide on hard plastic cover. I didn't even need the instructions as it was pretty intuitive. The suction cup holder is where you insert your tube (you twist your tube in like you are screwing on a cap until the threads are no longer visible). Then you slightly dampen the suction cups (not per instructions - I've just always dampened suction cups as it makes them hold stronger) and press it onto your mirror or smooth tiled surface. We don't have smooth tile so I placed it on our mirror first. The suction cups stick like glue - when I wanted to remove it later I had to work with it for a few minutes (carefully inserting a bobby pin between the suction cup and mirror to break the powerful suction).
The little lever works great and dispenses a perfect amount of toothpaste! We have oral b professional care electric toothbrushes, the kind with the small round heads and I was worried it would dispense *too* much for the small heads, but it's not. It's the perfect amount (exactly as much as I would put on using manual squeezing) - a small round dime size glob.
The ONLY quality issue is caused by the 3M supplied sticker, the one you use if you plan to adhere the touch & brush to the wall. It is NOT strong enough to support the weight of the touch & brush. I had already realized this based on the other reviews, so it didn't surprise me. I tested it first on the wall (regular semi-gloss painted drywall) and the weight of the tough & brush pulled the sticker off immediately. So I just used some clear strong hold mounting glue (sort of like silicone cement - found cheap at Lowes), applied it to the sticky back of the 3M sticker, and adhered it to our wall (as we ultimately wanted the touch & brush on the wall and NOT our mirror). Once the glue was set, the wall sticker was then strong enough to support the weight of the touch & brush.
Again, the only quality issue we found with this product is the supplied sticker and NOT with the product itself. If you realize this beforehand and take appropriate measures to make sure the sticker is adhered better to the wall, then everything will be fine.

Really liked it at first Mar 26, 2010
By momandcrew When I first purchased this product, I really liked it. There were draw backs, the lever gets messy. It easily pops off and can be washed, not a big deal. Changing the tube is a huge pain! Perhaps mine is threaded poorly, but I could never get the stupid thing to thread and sit in right. This wouldn't be a huge deal except that I have 6 kids and we go through a great deal of toothpaste. But the real kick in the pants is the suction cups. Initially, it sealed great. After about 3 weeks it fell down. I remounted it to the wall. It fell a couple hours later. I cleaned the wall, the cups and made sure to moisten the cups and reinstalled. It fell a few hours later. It will not stay up. I am using the 3m disk that it came with. We have not had problems with the disk pulling away from the wall, just with the suction cups not staying adhereed. It would be nice if it had a screw mount option. I would be still using it if it would stay attached to the wall. As it is, it is sitting in a cupboard and not being used. Great idea, probably great for a couple or family with older/fewer children. It did not hold up to the rigors of 6 children, elementary school and under.

Really fun Nov 11, 2009

I bought this thing so my 4 year old daughter would be more exciting about brushing her teeth. And it worked. It's easy to use and she always wants to do it by herself. It's exactly what I expected.

Awful.made more of a mess than keeping it clean Nov 08, 2010
By L. Christianson All it did was make a mess and left crusty toothpaste everywhere. It clogged up so badly that we couldn't even use the lever anymore. The thing took more work to clean than just using a regular tube of toothpaste. Save your money, you will regret making this purchase.

Gets toothpaste tubes off the counter, dispenses toothpaste without dripping, is clean looking, and matches any decor. I am well pleased with my Touch N Brush.
