I purchase the kettlenetics program when it first came out in June 2008. Within the first week I started to notice a difference. It is a fun workout that targets all different muscle groups. One con that I did have in the beginning was that I had trouble following the routine. I am not naturally coordinated and have no dance background, so while following the quicker paced movements might be easy for some, it took me a few days to be able to get through the routine. If you are going to do this program I also recommend additional cardiovascular training. I was not in shape at all when I started and could barely get through a video without stopping to catch my breath.

Overall if you are willing to put in the time and the effort this is a great tool to get slim and toned

This was the first time I've ever ordered a DVD workout. I thought about the 10 minute version of P90-X but it looked boring to me. I ordered Kettlenetics because it seemed to be low impact, different, exciting and without a lot of grunting and groaning. This workout is no joke! I have been in a boot camp exercise program before but this little Asian lady kicks my butt! The moves are elegant and graceful but half way through the workout you are begging for mercy. I've had it for about two weeks and my thighs have definition, my arms are more slender. Still working on the abs but that's pretty much all my fault because I have a thing for 7-11's glazed donuts. Best low impact workout ever! I love it.

I workout and do cardio. (I am 36yo female) I can be on the treadmill running for 30 minutes and barely break a sweat. I do this for 20 minutes and even my hair is even wet I can't believe it. This is such a quality product and for the price you can't beat it for what you get anywhere.

Just remember to do the "Flow Motion Basics" disk first. If you are like me you want to jump right into it, but you are only hurting yourself. Get the DVD 1 basics down (20 minutes) at least once and move to DVD2 "Slim and Tone". I did them the same day following one another.(Friday) I was actually sore in my middle back the next day and I don't think I ever have been.

Definately wait day in between the real workouts. I then jumped to the cardio balance DVD 3 for 40 minutes on the Sunday. I thought I was going to die. I thought I was fit but I guess NOT SO MUCH. I took one break and drank some water but I made it through the disk.

I used this for 6 weeks 3 times a week and I have lost 10 pound and toned up BIGTIME my arms, legs and hip area. Lines in my stomach are now visable and it's great. I actually canceled my gym membership and do this at home in the early morning before work.

P.S. 4 pounds is PLENTY. I thought it would not be BUT IT IS!!!"

I am in my 50's and have been weight-lifting for 20 years, so I know I am strong (lat pull downs of 80lbs), so what did I think of this work out? I was looking for something with core strength training and cardio combined as a new challenge and took a chance on this workout with all the great reviews. I was not disappointed. The DVD has 3 segments. The first shows you the moves...these are not weight-lifting moves, but swinging, lunging and twisting. The next 2 segments are the workouts. Stick with the tone one to learn. The segments are all 20 minutes. You will feel like you are WORKING, even though this is only a 4 pound weight. I was sweating and muscles hurt the next day. Beginners may want to take it slow and pause to catch their breath, or modify using only a 2 pound dumb bell.

3Excellent DVD, Poor Equipment  Jun 16, 2009 By I Buy Quality
This is my first Amazon product review, so bear with me.

I ordered the Gaiam Kettlenetics Slim and Tone Kit based on the previous reviewers' opinions. The kit arrived promptly and without any damage to the package, so kudos to Amazon.

I was completely surprised when I opened the box and discovered that the kettlebell was a tiny 4 pound thing that I can barely hold in one of my XL hands. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The kettlebell is pictured on the box, held by the instructor. There's nothing to indicate that the handle is incredibly small! Or that this kit is intended for women only.

Luckily, I was able to adapt by substituting one of my dumbbells for all of the workouts on the DVD. Each workout is excellent - well lit, plenty of good camera angles, and the instructor is very helpful, explaining not only the fundamentals of the kettlebell workout, but the reasons why you're doing all of the various movements. She's exactly right in her approach. I never felt like a beginner, even though this is my first experience with kettlebells.

My advise is to try and find the DVD sold seperatly and buy a larger kettlebell, especially if you have big hands. If your glove size is XL/XXL, buy a bigger kettlebell seperately. I can't emphasize this enough.
