5Start slow for better pain relief.  May 13, 2011 By Donna Sires "penguin lover"
For years I have been looking for a brace like this. Chiropractors and physical therapists would give me belts that went around my hips and it didn't help at all. It was my upper back and posture that was causing more pain and fatigue in my lower back (I have arthritis and a bulging disk.) This brace relieved the pain and improved my posture. Here are a few things I learned to make it more successful:
1) Get a very soft, thin, snug fitting t-shirt (with short sleeves) and wear it under the brace. This prevents itching and irritation and makes all the difference in the world. I found a thin scoop neck so it doesn't show under my clothes.
2) Don't tighten up the brace right away. Start off so you barely feel it at first and gradually work your way up to having it tighter. This allows your body to adjust slowly to the changes and makes it much more comfortable. The one disadvantage I have is that there is exposed velcro (the 'hook' side) exposed and against your clothes. It probably would be a good idea to wear a second thin t-shirt over the brace when you are wearing a sweater or fabric that might stick to the velcro.
I recommend it and hope you have as good of results as I did.

5Life Changing!  Jul 11, 2011 By appleman
I am 15 and have Pectus Excavatum, just look it up on google. But anyway I have (or had) really bad posture because of the PE and also because of sitting in front of my computer for hours since I make and edit video's for a hobby. As soon as I put this brace on I could feel the difference. It is so amazing, I feel like I have power and energy now. I can even walk better, and it makes me look like a completely different person. I was expecting the brace to be uncomfortable but it's really not that bad, maybe a shirt underneath it would help. All in all it's an absolutely amazing product, you will not regret the small investment.

5ShouldersBack Posture Support - ShouldersBack Lite - Large -White (Health and Beauty)  Apr 18, 2011 By kim
This product gets the job done! It works good and it is easy to use and easy to wear. Multifunction braces for your back, seem to me, to be a waste of time, unless you like wearing straightjackets! I wear this for 5 or ten minutes, when I want to train my shoulders to stay back. Great slouch control. On the down side, for what you get, this product seems over priced. I think it should cost about half as much as it does.

5ShouldersBack Posture Support - ShouldersBack Lite - Medium - White (Health and Beauty)  Apr 18, 2011 By Horseman
I would highly recommend the ShouldersBack brace to anyone needing to improve their posture. The brace is comfortable to wear (when you are sitting or standing up straight) and as your posture improves can be worn for longer periods of time. The habit of slumping is gradually replaced with better posture as the back muscles strengthen and wearing time for the brace can be reduced as holding your shoulders back becomes natural.

4Good product  Oct 28, 2011 By Ruth
I bought this for my daughter and the brace does what it says it will. It does not force the wearer to stand up straight, but makes it more uncomfortable to slouch, and it is adjustable for a tighter fit. My daughter wears a size 34 bra and I bought a medium size brace. I think we could have gotten a small, but it seems like she might be right between sizes. She says it chafes at the arms a little and we bought some tees to wear under it, and that helps some. The real problem is that she isn't motivated to wear it; but this is not a problem of the product itself.
