works just fine. it takes longer to cook pasta than normal, but its so easy and wonderful to work with, including cleanup.

ok. i do not buy this stuff on tv infomercials.
i don't have a tv.
but a friend gave me this.
and i have found it to be pretty amazing in several variations.
1. yes, it's not FASTER than boiling H20 & cooking pasta, but costs less energy.
2. it cooks oatmeal & grits to perfection.
3. i use the containers to sprout seeds---with the slotted tops, it makes draining easy.
4. great gift. think outside the box :)

Altough this product took a long time to arrive here,it was worth the wait.It comes with all the parts.It is simple to use,but the only disadvantage is that you have to boil,almost 3 qts. of water to pour into the container.Also,there was some confusion about the orinigal item sent,the amazon.com company sent me a pasta maker and not a pasta cooker.They were real nice about it and sent me the pasta cooker anyway,Great product,would recommend it to anybody that does not want the hassle of multi=pots to cook the product in. sincerely,sammyPasta Pronta for Pasta Express Cooking
