Ok But Not Like Furminator May 21, 2010

I bought PetZoom for our long hair cat who sheds insane amounts of fur - think tumbleweeds of black fur, everywhere, every day. He should be bald! Sadly he only enjoys grooming for about 2 minutes, then things turn ugly. I thought it might be that the Furminator we normally use was hurting his skin, so the plastic tipped bristles on the PetZoom seemed worth a try. Also loved the concept of push button hair removal.
The brush does not bother him as much as the Furminator does, and the push button works even better than expected. Sadly though it just does not get much of the shedding fur off of him. Also tried on our short hair kitty who adores being groomed, again not too much hair removal.

A few overpromises, but still a good pet brush. Mar 22, 2011
By Serge44 A good one, I might add. But it's still a pet brush. Not much to review about it. Although there are a couple of sale overpromises, which I'll state here:
Statement: One Touch Brush- Cleans itself
- No, it doesn't "clean itself". Come on. It has a nice button which makes it easier to collect hair. I like this button, I honestly do. But that's not really self cleaning, is it?
Attracts loose hair, dander and dirt
- Oh come on. It doesn't "attract" hair. Collects it somewhat effectively, yes. As much as you would expect in a good quality brush. But don't think all hair is going to run to the brush and that you'll be done in a few strokes. It won't. And you won't. It's just a brush.
Trimmer attachment for pamper size
- It does include a trimmer attachment. Maybe some people find this useful. I've never used it or think I ever will.
Don't get me wrong, is a good quality brush, at a good price. I just think it overpromises a bit. But if you want a good quality brush that makes collecting hair easier thanks to it's button technology, and that won't hurt your cat or dog's sensitive skin, you should definitely get it.

Love this product! Jun 02, 2010
By Erin I absolutely love these brushes! They are the easiest brushes to use, and the cleaning of them is the best part....takes seconds! It saves me the hassles of too many hairballs from my cat, and dog grooming expenses for my dog. Best pet product I ever bought!

best grooming product ever! Mar 29, 2011
By mrs. breshears I purchased the petzoom from petco and absolutely love this grooming tool! My cat sheds profusely, so much so that I had stopped washing him and started using dry shampoos and wipes. (The wash loosesns fur) I own about 7 different grooming tools from combs and brushes to rollers and other things just to try and de-shed my cat. The petzoom was the only product that worked. I was a little doubtful when I saw that it looked like a slicker brush but I bought it thinking "what else do I have to lose?". My cat didn't even mind me using it on him and it left a nice little shine to his coat when I was finished. I really liked the bonus trimmer that it came with. It and the brush part are adjustable for long-haired or short-haired. I'm glad I bought this instead of the $50 furminator grooming tool!

doesn't work for my cat Mar 16, 2011
By PhantomWraith I got this for my grey tabby, She is a long hair cat with fine hair. She sheds alot of hair when I pet her so I wanted to to something to help keep the shedding down after using this brush for over 10 minutes I was able to pet her and get more hair off with my hand with each stroke.
